A parish raised on campus.
Since 2013, the Celestial Church of Christ Students' Parish has been a home of worship and formation for students of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti. We exist for one thing: that students would encounter the living Jesus and be sent out as His ambassadors.
Our story
How we began
The Parish was birthed in 2013 through the labour of Pro. Samuel Agbaje and Bro. Seun Akinmoladun, out of a simple need: a place of worship and spiritual nourishment for Celestial students at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti. The first congregation constituted itself as the pioneering Executive Team.
The first services were held at Ojubolamo Lodge, Irare, from 2013 into 2014. The Fellowship then moved to St. Michael Primary School — where her first Anniversary was held in 2014 — and on to Irona Quarters, which served as home until 2022, when she settled on her permanent site at CCCFSP Boulevard, behind FUOYE Mini Campus.
Today the Parish spans two campuses — Oye, the headquarters, and Ikole — and continues to grow a people for God in this place. This history is not a list of names; it is a witness that the Lord has been present in this work from the beginning.
Three operating convictions
Jesus is the point
Programmes, traditions, and titles are means. The person of Jesus is the end.
Encounter over attendance
Genuine encounter beats forced attendance. We pursue hearts, not crowds.
Discipleship is community
No one grows alone. Cells, classes, and convergences keep no member in isolation.

The Parish Network
Church comes to where you live
Rather than expect every student to travel to a single building, the Parish operates as a network of house fellowships — Cells — spread across every axis of student residence, all teaching the same curriculum and converging monthly at the Parish.
Cells on every axis
The student population is mapped each session by residential cluster. Each cluster becomes an axis, and each axis hosts a Cell — pastoral, not honorary.
A complete leadership team
Every Cell runs with a Leader, Assistant, Welfare Officer, and Scribe — so every member is known, followed up, and prayed for by name.
Monthly convergence
On the last Sunday of every month, all Cells gather at the Parish as one body for united worship and celebration.

Authority flows from the Alumni Executive at the apex to Cell Leaders at the operational layer. Every layer carries both authority and accountability.
